Spring Wardrobe Cleaning
To begin your organizing you need to make three different piles:
1) Charity- these are clothing items that you will probably never fit into again. Might be time to let go of those size 2 jeans you wore to death in your early 20's. Also, if you don't like the item anymore and won't wear it. I always loved Oprah's advice-if you haven't worn it in 2 years you probably won't (unless its sentimental which should then go into storage). Also-if your favorite tee is damaged with holes or a rip but you can't bear to let it go then move it into your pajama drawer or fix it at your local dry cleaners (if possible). There are tons of thrift shops you can donate to, bless a friend or stranger or sell them on eBay. There are numerous online thrift shops now where you can get money for your clothing.
2) Keep- you are going to hate this part but I always suggest trying on everything in your closet. In your mind you might think you still fit into that blazer but in reality you don't. I've gotten rid of tons of clothing by doing this. I thought it looked good on me but my tastes have changed, etc. It's always good to give your clothing a little love and try them on. It will also give you inspiration to create new outfits from the clothes you already have (but forgot you had). Keep what makes you feel good, looks good and fits.
3) Store-items that have sentimental value or that you'd like to pass down to your children, you should store. Make a box and name it whatever you'd like and store it in your attic/basement/etc but keep it out of your daily rotation as it just creates clutter. You can also store clothing you love and will use again but not right now. Examples: maternity clothes or different size clothing that you know you'll fit into again or seasonal items such as beach cover-ups/skiing gear. Items that you might use once a year should go into storage and labeled correctly so when you go skiing next February all you have to do is take out the "ski wardrobe box".
TRUST ME, you'll feel so much better going through everything you have and purging clothes that you don't wear anymore. It'll also help you assess what you already have, what you need, and items you should supplement.
Happy Spring Cleaning!!

Spring/Summer Wardrobe Basics
Everyone needs seasonal basics in their closet to get them through the year. If you're like me, you wear them to death and rarely replace them when they really should be buried 6 feet under. Basics are a necessity to transform your outfits and give you the basis to create a beautiful outfit. If you have the right pieces it will make your outfit picks far easier and save you much needed time in the mornings. With spring and summer right around the corner, Keleigh's Boutique has got you covered for all the basics you might need.
Lets start with the bandeau. If you don't have one or are in need of a new one I suggest you get them in every color or at the very least, in all of the neutral colors (black, white, nude, navy). I personally like wearing brightly colored ones under tank tops and maxi dresses in the summer to give a boring white tank a new look or a basic black dress a new makeover. These bandeaus or super comfortable to wear and perfect under t-shirts, tanks, dresses and blouses. Because of their thick fabric they're perfectly fine poking out and giving your outfit a pop of color or an extra dose of coverage:
Next up we have our seamless camisole. This is a must have for all the seasons. You can wear it under a see-thru blouse, dress or as a base layer under a button down or camisole. They're so comfortable that they feel like an extra layer of skin. They come in every color and are extra long if you want to cover your tummy or behind:
My favorite must have is this classic tee. It's forgiving in the mid-section and the v-neck makes it a bit more sexy and flattering. You can dress it up with a skirt and necklace or dress it down with a pair of shorts and sandals. You cannot go wrong with a classic tee and this one is super soft:
My other favorite is this twisted back tank. It comes in a few colors and again is flattering, lightweight and essential. You can wear a bandeau or camisole under it for extra coverage. It's the perfect spring/summer shirt:
This maxi dress is all I lived in last summer. It comes in multiple colors and prints. It's so comfortable and easy to wear. I love the versatility of wearing it as a beach cover up, running errands or even dressing it up with heels and a fabulous necklace. You cannot go wrong with this dress:
Last but not least is the classic linen pant. They don't wrinkle and do very well in humid heat. They're lightweight which makes it perfect to wear in the summer to work or if you're not keen on showing off those legs just yet. The elastic band makes it super comfy to wear and it comes in white, black and tan:

If green isn't your color or you don't want to over-do it, accessories are always a perfect addition to any wardrobe, especially during the holidays.
Here are some ways to accessorize your St. Patty's Day outfit:

Last but not least are these gorgeous chandelier earrings. They're the perfect accent to your St. Patty's Day outfit.
